A day out in London is not exactly something unusual for me as I work in London! But that often means that I go there for work and then come home again and don't take advantage of everything that's here. I was in London meeting a friend this week and decided to go to the National Portrait Gallery to see the BP Portrait Award exhibition. I always enjoy seeing the portraits - abstract and super-real. It's fantastic that it's free to get in to a lot of the museums and galleries in London, and this exhibition is no exception.
Here are my favourites from the exhibition. The copyright for each image belongs to the artist. Unfortunately you can't get an idea of the scale of some of these pieces unless you visit the exhibition.
What exhibitions have you been to this summer?
