I was asked to write a step by step jewellery making tutorial by the London Jewellery School . It is now available for free on their blog! It was good fun to do but I found it difficult to photograph as the tiger tail (cord) that I was using is so fine. In the end I used wool in most of the photographs to make sure it was clear what the steps were. My boyfriend Gary from Crafty websites did the photography and I think they have come out very well. My new and improved website is now launched! Designed using the very user-friendly website creation tool  weebly . I am really pleased with the way it looks The main differences The background colour (it used to be navy). I think the white looks much cleaner The new slider on the front page. This gives a better flavour of what I do and I'm pleased with the effect A new logo (or, a logo! I haven't really had one before!). Sweetie shop jewellery by light boat jewellery , photo by Gary Ullah of craftywebsites  In 2012 I have noticed more and more interest in classes on how to use social media to promote fledgeling businesses. I've been teaching people at the London Jewellery School and at the Mary Ward Centre about how to set up an online business or an online presence for a 'bricks and mortar' business. I am also starting to teach these skills to individuals (for Crafty Websites ), charities etc. As a result of this interest I decided, along with the press officer from the London Jewellery School,  to write a series of blog posts for their  blog on preparing your jewellery business for christmas. I launched my spring collection on  Etsy  after a photo shoot for my jewellery with  Gary  from  Crafty Websites . I am really pleased with the way the photos came out, I particularly like the paperchase frame that I bought to display the silver jewellery. The photos were taken in a light box to minimise the amount of shadow and reflection you can get with silver jewellery. The silver pieces are all handmade of 999 fine silver, the chains are sterling silver. All of the pieces are currently available in my Etsy store .
