Preparing stock for the London shop

As I mentioned yesterday, I've been preparing my stock for the Things British shop in Greenwich market , London this weekend. Here are a few pieces that I will be sending in Campbell Hall UK stock for Things British The cufflinks are from my best selling bee collection. I haven't sent cufflinks to Things British before so I'll see how they do. Also new is the butterfly necklace and the leaf pendant. The leaf is made by painting layers of silver onto a real leaf, which burns away in the kiln. Before you ask, I need to get these new pieces into my etsy store too, my shop needs a lot of tlc at the moment! But the priority is getting stock into Things British as I am already paying rent there. An etsy update is coming! The hummingbird has been selling well so I will be sending two versions, the rectangle and the oval. I've still got to print out my labels and tie them on but this batch should be ready to post tomorrow. Use a twist tie to stop chains fro...

New silver jewellery range

I've been working on a new range of silver jewellery and it's nearly ready to launch (is anything ever really ready?!).  It comprises of three collections The be collection The bee range is a delightful play on words and is  perfect for those who like their jewellery to make them smile . A cute bee sits on a honeycomb textured front and on the reverse is your chosen word.  For example be loved, be free, be happy etc The totem collection I love that jewellery is personal and has a meaning to the person that wears it. With this in mind I have developed the totem collection. A totem is a symbol that you choose of your personal or spiritual identity. I currently have the following totems Bee - symbolic of achieving the impossible Hummingbird - symbolic of energy Owl - symbolic of wisdom and learning Butterfly - symbolic of transformation and change Shell - symbolic of affinity with the sea Flower - symbolic of growth and blossoming The pieces ca...

Sazzfest 2012

A friend of ours, Sarah, has a mini-festival in her garden each year. She has bands, DJs, a bouncy castle, nail painting, henna tattoos and camping. This is the second year that it has run and the second year that we have gone. It was a lovely day, fortunately and Sarah had asked me to bring along some jewellery to sell. I haven't sold at any festivals before so I didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I set up on a blanket and wrote my prices on a paper plate (not totally organised!) I sold a few licorice allsort bracelets and the silver hummingbird pendant went to a good home which was great. We enjoyed a barbeque for dinner, loved the live music (including a singer accompanied by a cellist - loved their rendition of Raspberry Beret) and the fire breathing. Many people went home but there were a few campers left to enjoy sitting around the fire with marshmallows watching out for falling stars. I got a go on the bouncy castle which I always enjo...

Photo shoot for the spring 2012 collection

I launched my spring collection on  Etsy  after a photo shoot for my jewellery with  Gary  from  Crafty Websites . I am really pleased with the way the photos came out, I particularly like the paperchase frame that I bought to display the silver jewellery. The photos were taken in a light box to minimise the amount of shadow and reflection you can get with silver jewellery. The silver pieces are all handmade of 999 fine silver, the chains are sterling silver. All of the pieces are currently available in my Etsy store .
