Design Museum visit - designs of the year

I went to the Design Museum at the weekend to see the Terence Conran exhibition and the Designs of the Year 2012 nominees. It's always great to look at new designs in any medium, it can really get me thinking. There were some really innovative ideas on show in different the categories of the award - architecture, fashion, digital, furniture, graphics, product and transport. Art Clay Guild newsletter feature

I was soooo excited to see that one of my pieces was featured in the most recent Art Clay Guild UK newsletter. Lesley Messam took a photo of my piece, butterfly pendant, at the Art Clay Guild conference last year and chose to include it in the gallery for newsletter 21. It is featured with some beautiful work from some of my favourite metal clay artists so I am thrilled.

Photo shoot for the spring 2012 collection

I launched my spring collection on  Etsy  after a photo shoot for my jewellery with  Gary  from  Crafty Websites . I am really pleased with the way the photos came out, I particularly like the paperchase frame that I bought to display the silver jewellery. The photos were taken in a light box to minimise the amount of shadow and reflection you can get with silver jewellery. The silver pieces are all handmade of 999 fine silver, the chains are sterling silver. All of the pieces are currently available in my Etsy store .
