A meditative break on Herm Island

This weekend I attended a friend's wedding on the beautiful channel island of Herm. It's a short boat trip from Guernsey, where she now lives.
I was very honoured to have been commissioned to make the groom's cufflinks and the maid of honour's earrings for the big day.
The wedding was lovely, in a small chapel at the top of a steep hill (we wore flats to walk up there and changed our shoes!).
On the day after the wedding I had a late ferry back home so had a lot of time to explore the island. It's small and there are no cars on it! No roads either. It's a really beautiful, quiet place and I was very lucky to have such fantastic weather in which to enjoy it.
